Dr. Martin Copeland, Optometrist, and Associates is your neighborhood eye doctor located at 2611 James Street. Your Coralville eyecare center offers genuine eye care where your eye health and wellness is our primary focus. Annual eye exams are a recommended cornerstone for ensuring the health of your eyes. In addition to checking for changes in your vision and updating your prescription, we will also look at your overall eye health, internally and externally. Prevention and early detection are keys to maintaining healthy eyes, as some eye health issues have no immediate symptoms but can still cause damage if left untreated. That’s why regular check-ups are critical.

Dr. Martin Copeland
Prior to starting Copeland Eyecare, Dr. Copeland was a member of the Department of Ophthalmology at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY, one of the largest volume departments in the nation. With the large diversity of cases, Dr. Copeland was able to expand his clinical interests by caring for patients with systemic disease such as Diabetes, Hypertension, and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Dr. Annette Nickel
Dr. Nickel has been practicing in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids since 2011. She enjoys applying a personal touch to practicing eye care, while specializing in treating dry eye and managing contact lenses. Dr. Nickel maintains memberships in the American Optometric Association, Iowa Optometric Association, and the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. In her free time, she enjoys spending time camping in some of Iowa?s beautiful state parts, reading, or running outside.

Dr. Cassidy Wendler
Dr. Wendler joined Copeland Eyecare in 2022 and focuses on eye care for all ages including specialties in binocular vision, myopia management, pediatrics, and treating/managing ocular pathology. Outside of work, Dr. Wendler stay?s busy by spending time at her lake cabin in Minnesota, playing the occasional round of golf, walking her dog, Rep, and cheering on her alma mater (Go Hoosiers!)

Dr. Tracy Bildstein
Prior to returning to Eastern Iowa and co-founding Copeland Eyecare, Dr. Bildstein spent five years working at a community hospital in New York focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease arising from illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension and thyroid diseases.
